The "Squirrel" buying habits never cease to amaze me since they span the gambit.

Shop for a "live" toy like little Sammy and the process is a grueling 5 month R&D, try-buy, you-name-it kind of process albeit with very successful results. On the other hand, put you and the little Mrs in a toy store and look out, the impulses take over and you're fighting some little old lady for the last Barbie on the shelf. Please tell me you won't be in Best Buy on Black Friday at oh-dark-30 for some electronic/techno wizard gadget.

On the other hand, the way you raved about the ease of doing business with Red Box from an earlier posting, I would have guessed you for a 100% online shopper with the UPS truck pulling up in front of the house daily.

Very complex, very complex you are.

Now, if the "squirrel" truly wants to stave off the government bailouts, buy your kid a Chevy......no lines at the Cochran dealership.

I want to thank you for posting this information as it was extremely helpful. I own a 2006 and 2008 VW Passat and accidentally inserted the wrong key into the ignition. Using the information posted above I was able to release my key from the ignition. Thanks again, it was a true lifesaver!

I hate Microsoft... been trying for days to get Exchange to work ... clearly they don't want anything to work on the iPhone.

It's a joke ... they think they can control the market ... but really their pissing off their own users ... and pushing us more to apple.

I've moved to Gmail for the same reason ... Hotmail just isn't supported by iPhone.

And they want me to "upgrade" to vista?! lol

Unfortunately , no. I am in the same boat where all I can find is the question. The Mozilla forums gave me a glimmer of hop, but it ended up being a solution on how to do this for their mail client. Making the same changes in FF did not eliminate the issue. It is frustrating. I ended up back with WebKit for now, but would like to be able to use Firefox as it works better for me when I use Citrix.

This just happened to me in my Father-in Law's car! I moved the damn thing 20 feet, and in doing so, accidentially shifted into the overdrive gate, and took in right out. Then shifted into park but the button and key were stuck.

My Father-in-Law thought I broke something, and took the car out and drove it around with no luck. It wasn't until we wwere back out in the driveway, and I remembered the "accidental" overdrive shift. He repeated the shift into the overdrive gate, and then back to park and "voila" problem solved!

Michael, I can definitely see how that can happen, but in my case at least, I must have moved that shifter 100 times and it never made a difference. It wasn't until I hit that button a couple of times that it finally released.

What's interesting is that this happened a few times and has not happened since.

VW PASSAT - STUCK IGNITION KEY???

This can be caused "accidentially" if the shifter is pushed into the "OVERDRIVE" slot. If the button on the shifter handle does not release when it is pushed into PARK, just moving the shifter into the overdrive slot "AGAIN" which should cause the button on the shifter to pop out as usual, and in turn, allow the ignition key to release.

Squirrel-meister, for the time being, I will accept your explanation as well intentioned but be advised that you are on the good Doctor's watch list. If I ever feel you are using the "power of the Squirrel" for personal financial gain as opposed to a triumph of good over evil, well let's just say the reprocussion would be harsh.

I too remember the days of 'Made in America' as well as the times when there were people in America that make buggy whips. We don't lower ourselves to that level any more. We have people for that.

Dr G, you were so close, but no conspiracy intended. My point was actually the opposite; I was stating that if a share holder won't use the product, what chance do they have with a regular consumer?

No Walmart stock - I'm one of the guys that thinks Walmart's practices helped make China the economic power house it is today, all at the expense of the American economy. Remember the days when Walmart used to advertise "Made In America?"

Our glorious/infamous legislature has always been a follower rather than a leader, the Doctor evidences the State Liquor Store system, the only one left in the country from the Prohibition Days.

They will hold hearing, yak-yak-yak and after every other state in the country has enacted laws, PA will jump into the game.

Cough-cough, excuse me I just ate dinner at a local Level Green restaurant....bit of an after-taste still in my mouth.

Another case where the PA legislature puts money first. Want to raise your blood pressure, ask your local representative about term limits.

Yea, but can Nadar raise enough money through sin taxes to finally fix the 75 year construction project that is Interstate 79.

What people really need to understand is what we absolutely need in this country is 3 solid parties with none of them having a majority. The parties are controlled by people on the far left and right. No one actually lives to those extremes...we all live in the middle.

The 2 party system is a series of win-lose decisions. It's us versus them rather than trying to strike a balance. It has been demonstrated for years that what we have with D's and R's is not a functional solution. Rather than encouraging Nadar and his followers to go on, people like you are blaming him. Wha, wha.

Think what might have happened in 2000 if a 48% R majority had to strike a deal with Nadar's 3% to form a majority ruling "coalition". It would definitely have watered down the D and R extemists...

Actually, I think the reason has to do with our need to tell everyone that your wearing authentic BVDs and not some cheesy Walmart generic underwear. We just need to see the swoosh.

Why don't you stay up at night and worry about more important things like why people don't like onions on a salad.

We'll never find a solution. We made the decision to replace them all over a couple of years. What a shame. Changing the timezone isn't the big deal, but any Outlook appointments that people make during the extended period end up wrong when we change the timezones back. Frustrating. We decided to go with Wyse and end it.

We are in the same boat. Over half our company runs on ThinSTAR terminals, but when DST 2007 came along we decided that we'd have to finally replace them with PCs. As a non-profit organization however we just don't have the means to do so. So we continue to change the time multiple times a year. Please keep me informed if you find a solution.

I've had a chance to do a bit more diagnostic. I installed an SSL certificate on our Exchange 2003 server and when it prompts for the login it now shows that it is a secure login, but it still doesn't work.

I contacted a colleague who runs a different Exchange 2003 server and we tried my iPhone against his OWA login - we got the same results - no login possible.

I got the iPhone SDK along with the Aspen simulator and tried that against my server - and it works! I can only hope that some bug that will be addressed soon is at play here.
